Create a new name for Skygd to support their ambition to establish Skygd as an international and innovative IoT SaaS company.

COMPANY & PLATFORM

Skygd is a Software as a Service (SaaS) company that enables alarm and event distribution from Internet of Things (IOT) sensors.

Skygd’s platform and product suite offers a highly flexible and intelligent management and distribution of alarms and events generated by different types of connected devices in a dynamic and programmable manner.

The platform is suited for management of alarms in the mature traditional alarm industry as well as well being positioned to manage other types of event signals in the ongoing and accelerating IoT boom.

CHALLENGE

The existing name Skygd is not working internationally and is difficult to spell and pronounce.

NAME CRITERIA

• Easy to pronounce and spell in English
• Preferably possible to register as .com domain. If not .com then .net or .io.
• Not have any obvious negative associations in the major languages
• Fitting as a name of an innovative IoT company/brand
